COVENTRY–A drug bust in Coventry showed that, sometimes, dealing drugs can be a family affair.
On Nov. 18 the Coventry Police and the East Central Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant after a narcotics investigation. During the search police seized more than two ounces of marijuana packaged for sale, THC candy, cocaine, amphetamine pills and paraphernalia.
Justin Carr, 27, was charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also arrested for two warrants that Coventry had for his arrest, charging him with possession of marijuana and sale of marijuana. He was held on $100,000 bond.
Justin Carr’s father, Charles Turkowski, 57, was charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $75,000 bond. Both Justin and Charles were transported to Vernon Police Department for housing until arraignment.
Justin Carr’s mother, Christine Carr, 51, was charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held on $75,000 bond.
Lastly, Justin Carr’s girlfriend, Sharell Atkinson, 29, was charged wit hpossession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held on $75,000.
All four were due to be arraigned on Nov. 19.
