HARTFORD — Police are investigating a serious crash in Hartford.
According to Hartford Police, the 600 block of New Britain Avenue was shut down shortly before 4 p.m., and remained closed for about two hours. It reopened around 6.
Police say the crash involved a truck, a car and a pedestrian, and that the 53-year-old male pedestrian who was hit is in critical, but stable condition at Hartford Hospital.
Police say the truck hit the pedestrian first and remained on the scene, but the car, which hit the pedestrian second, drove off. The car was found a short time later, and the driver is being interviewed by police.
