NEW LONDON — A woman is facing DUI charges after police said she flipped her car in a restaurant parking lot. Police said they were called to the Texas Road House on South Frontage Road in New London at around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
They said a car that was traveling north on I-95 had entered the parking lot off Exit 82A, then lost control. The car flipped several times and caught fire, according to witnesses. Police said the car hit five other unoccupied parked cars in the parking lot, causing serious damage to all of them.
Police said that a 3-year-old and another woman were also in the car. Luckily, no one in the parking lot or in the flipped car was injured.
Velez was released after making bail.
