NORWICH — Police said Backus Hospital in Norwich experienced a power outage around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said due to the outage, the hospital was on diversion and is not accepting any patients at the time.
Just after 1 a.m. Police issued another update saying that Backus Hospital has been re-opened, but recommend contacting them by phone if their services are needed to confirm they are taking patients.
It’s unknown what caused the outage.
