NEW HARTFORD — Police have released the identities of the victims of a crash that killed one person.
The one-car crash happened in the area of 518 Town Hill Road/Route 219 just before 2:00 a.m.
Police said a 2000 Toyota Camry was being driven south on Town Hill Road by James Laboy, 28 of Winsted when it crossed the oncoming lane and hit a mailbox before hitting a tree then another tree. One rear seat passenger, Marissa Offsay, 23 of Avon was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The other rear seat passenger, Jessica Morse, 23 of New Hartford, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Hartford Hospital with internal injuries. The other front seat passenger, John Auclair, 28 of New Hartford, was treated for minor injuries. Laboy, the driver, was treated for minor injuries.
Town Hill Road was closed for much of the morning but reopened at around 7:00 a.m.
