MARLBOROUGH — A crash involving a truck has closed lanes on Route 2 westbound.
The accident happened around 6 a.m. State Police said the truck hit a bridge overhead, which was the Johnson Road bridge. The road was closed for three hours.
The driver, David Smith, 48, of Colchester, was taken to the hospital as a precaution and to be evaluated, but police say he wasn’t injured. He was cited for height of vehicle excessive without a permit. Police say the incident was caused because of the vehicle’s height.
The open-box bed and truck were towed from the scene.
