DERBY — A man who police say shot and killed his estranged wife and wounded her mother faced a judge Thursday.
Scott Gellatly, 46, stared straight ahead as a judge read the conditions of a protective order. Judge Karen Sequino set his bail at $2 million and ordered him back to court May 13 in Milford.
Prosecutor Paul Gaetano called Gellatly a “risk to the community” and said his decision to flee the scene indicates a “consciousness of guilt.”
