GROTON — Town of Groton Police said they’ve arrested 18-year-old Nateya Linton who they said stabbed a woman multiple times inside a car.
The incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Flanders Road and Gold Star Highway.
Police said the victim and the suspect knew each other. Linton was driving a car and encountered the victim in another part of town. Linton followed the victim until the victim stopped at the traffic light at the intersection.
The victim left her car, as did Linton, but the victim soon rushed back to her car, where Linton reached in through an open window, and stabbed the victim in the arm with a sharp instrument. Linton may have also threatened the victim, before leaving the scene in her car.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Linton was arrested and charged with assault, reckless endangerment, breach of peace, threatening, and harassment. She was held on $25,000 bail.
