HARTFORD — The body of a Connecticut man allegedly killed by his daughter’s boyfriend was likely dead for two weeks before relatives discovered his decomposing body in a storage tub behind a living room couch in his elderly mother’s condo.
The Hartford Courant reports that the details of the death of 51-year-old Michael Keene in November are contained in an arrest warrant for the suspect.
Police say between the killing and the discovery of Keene’s body, the family had Thanksgiving dinner and some relatives slept on the couch Windsor Locks police think Keene was on when he was stabbed to death.
Police say the suspect cleaned up some of the crime scene and used candles, air fresheners and incense to try to mask the odor.
Keene’s daughter and her boyfriend are charged with murder.
