MIDDLETOWN — State Police are investigating after a crash between a motorcycle and a car happened on Route 9 in Middletown.
Troopers had one lane on Route 9 northbound closed following a the crash Saturday night, but has since reopened.
According to State Police, a car was traveling northbound on Route 9, just past exit 16. A motorcycle, driven by Christopher Price, 40, of Bristol, was behind the car and attempted to pass the car. Price, for unknown reasons at this time, then dropped their motorcycle and collided with the car, and then collided with the metal beam guard rail in the median. Price was taken to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries.
