HARTFORD – Police are looking for two men accused of holding a University of Hartford student at gunpoint.
A University of Hartford student said he was held at gunpoint in his dorm room by two men looking for marijuana early Saturday.
Hartford Police officers responded to the campus around 4 a.m. on a report of an assault with a firearm against a student. The victim said he and his girlfriend were in his room when two unknown men knocked on the door.
The student opened his door to get a closer look, only to be pushed back as the two men forced their way inside. One of them shut the door while the other held them at gunpoint.
Police say the man holding the gun asked , “where the weed was.” When the student denied having any pot, the other man rummaged through his stuff and tore apart his room. They punched him in the face several times. The men then took off.
The victim denied any medical attention, despite having been hit in the face.
Police haven’t made any arrests. They say there’s no imminent danger to the public.
