DANBURY–A female teacher from Danbury High School has been arrested after acting inappropriately with someone under age.
At 5 p.m. on Tuesday Kayla Mooney, 24, of Danbury, turned herself in on charges of sexual assault in the second degree and distributing alcohol to a minor.
While it is not known if Mooney assaulted one of her students or someone outside the school, police do say that the warrant for her arrest came after an the Danbury High School administration contacted the Danbury Police on February 10 about her behavior.
Mooney was released on a written promise to appear in court on April 14.
