HARTFORD — A blizzard warning is in effect for all of Connecticut until 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Accumulations are starting to pile up in parts of the state as heavier snow bands work their way across the state.
There may also be some lightning and thunder, and considerable blowing and drifting with poor visibility,making for dangerous travel conditions. Wind will be northeast at 20-50 mph, which will cause scattered power outages and coastal flooding at times of high tide early today.
Total snow accumulations of 15-30 inches are possible.
A little more snow by Friday (not nearly a blizzard), with bitter cold arctic air over the weekend into early next week.
