SYOSSET, N.Y.–Nassau County Police have identified the three victims of a plane crash that occurred earlier this week on Long Island.
The plane, which was headed from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Plainville, Connecticut, crashed in Syosset, New York, a town on Long Island, on Tuesday, killing the two men and woman on board.
The victims have been identified as David Berube, 66; Dana Parenteau, 49; and Benjamin Bridges, 32; all from Bristol, Connecticut.
The plane broke apart mid-flight around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, scattering debris over a two-mile radius in a wooded area of a residential section of Long Island.
Berube, who was the pilot, also owned the six-seat aircraft.
A preliminary report on the cause of the crash is expected within 10 business days.
