HARTFORD – Police have arrested two men in a connection with the shooting of a 28-year-old man in April 2014 that was witnessed by four young children.
The victim, Stanley Weaver, suffered gunshot wounds to the head and back during a shooting on Huntington Street near Collins Street, police said.
Tyvonne Gooden and Trajuan Washington, both 24 of Hartford, were both charged with attempted murder, assault, and firearms charges. Both are being held on $2.5 million bond. The pair was arrested while they were in custody on other charges.
Police said when the shooting happened, four children ages three to eleven were at the scene. Police located an unoccupied Jeep at the scene of the shooting. The victim had been taken to the hospital by people at the scene.
