NEW HAVEN -- Some students from the University of New Haven are getting a lesson in cyber forensics from a video game. The game users virtual reality to give students a close up look at crime scenes without ever having to leave the classroom.
Dan Walnycky is the creator of the program at UNH. The first-person virtual reality program is designed to step into a crime scene. In one case, the goal is to find a missing girl.
Emily MacMalbern teaches forensics in high school.
One student told FOX 61 she became interested in forensic science from watching Law and Order.
