WATERBURY — State Police have arrested a court marshal who is charged with promoting prostitution.
Authorities arrested Michael Connelly, 53, of Waterbury on Nov. 25 at the superior court where he works.
According to police, the arrest was related to an ongoing criminal investigation conducted by the Western District Major Crimes Squad.
Connelly was released on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 10.
Connelly is currently on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of the investigation. A hearing is scheduled for Dec. 3, and Connelly will have the opportunity to challenge the leave with the judicial branch.
