WILLIMANTIC – Police said a Willimantic man was arrested three different times on Monday
Police said it began as a family dispute and the man faces more charges after he fought with a cop, according to police.
Police said Jerremy Jimenez, 20, of West Avenue in Willimantic, was arrested just after 10:30 a.m. after a family dispute. He was released that morning on $15,000 bail.
Police said he was arrested again at around 6:15 p.m. after he went back to the house of the original dispute and created a disturbance again. He was taken to the police station this time.
As he was being processed, police said he attacked an officer within the cell block area. He was then arrested a third time.
“The police officer, who is not being identified, was not seriously injured and was back on patrol after receiving medical attention at police headquarters,” said Willimantic Lt. Stanley Parizo Jr. in a statement.
Jimenez was charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, violation of conditions of release and assault on an officer. His total bond was $20,000.
Jimenez was slated to appear in court on Tuesday in Danielson.
