WILLIMANTIC – The Willimantic Police Department has a warning for residents after several cars were broken into and items stolen.
Police said the break-ins happened overnight. In each incident, a rock or a brick was used to break the window. Police said the stolen items were in plain view.
The Willimantic Police Department is reminding residents that valuables such as wallets, purses, and any electronics that are left in a car should be secured in a trunk, or tucked out of view from would-be thieves.
Police said the break-ins are occurring on the south side of the city but they aren’t releasing actual locations.
