On April 30 around 12:19 a.m. two cars heading in opposite directions in West Center Street, near the intersection of Summit Street, collided head-on.
Brandon Caron, 30, of Bristol, was driving a 2009 Kia Spectra eastbound, while Krista Pikora, 26, of Southington, was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass westbound.
Caron was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and later died from his injuries. Pikora was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and a passenger in Caron’s car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries as well.
On June 9 Pikora turned herself in on charges of driving under the influence, manslaughter in the second degree with a motor vehicle, assault in the second degree with a motor vehicle, reckless driving and failure to drive right. She is being held on a $150,000 bond.
