FARMINGTON–A woman was arrested on Wednesday for driving into a police cruiser while drunk.
Jennifer Newton, 28, of West Hartford, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. on Farmington Avenue, near South Road, for a DUI. The Farmington Police car she hit had its lights activated. Newton’s side mirror rubbed against the outside of the police car, causing minor damage.
Newton continued to drive after the crash, heading eastbound, and police pursued her for about 1/4 mile before pulling her over. Police added a charge of evading.
No one was injured in the accident.
Newton’s address is in West Hartford, but she has a Utah license.
