HARTFORD, Conn — Story by Erika Rozek, Manchester High School
On December 2nd, the Hartford Wolfpack hockey team hosted an annual charity event at the XL Center, in which during a game, guests were encouraged to throw teddy bear stuffed animal donations onto the ice after the first goal made by the Wolfpack.
These teddy bears were then donated to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, which since the beginning of this tradition has received thousands of teddy bear donations to bring joy to children throughout the holiday season.
Players and fans give their perspective on this unique event that allows the Hartford Wolf Pack to give back to the community with an impactful goal.
