HARTFORD, Conn — Hartford police are investigating after a man was shot to death Sunday.
Police tweeted that the adult male was shot and killed at 13 McKinley Street just before 5 am.
Patrol officers responded to 13 McKinley Street on a Shot Spotter activation and a report of shots fired with a person injured. Upon arrival, a victim was located on the west sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The victim has been positively identified as Hartford resident Guillermo Rivera, 38.
The HPD Major Crimes and Crime Scene Division responded and assumed control of the investigation.
