NORWALK, Conn. — Multiple people were displaced following a fire in Norwalk on Monday morning, according to officials.
Crews were called to Pine Hill Avenue just before 9:00 a.m. on the report of a fire.
First responding crews encountered smoke coming from the residence and found two people evacuated before firefighters arrived, but two dogs were still inside. Firefighters searched the home and located both dogs. The dogs were transported to an animal clinic for evaluation.
The fire was extinguished with the help of crews from Westport, New Canaan, Rowayton and Stamford fire departments.
The Norwalk fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
