Seymour police search for stolen vehicle suspect

Police say the suspect stole a vehicle, later abandoning and running away on foot

SEYMOUR, Conn. — Seymour Police are asking for any information that will help lead to a suspect who reportedly stole a car. 

Police said the suspect had stolen a car around overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. The suspect then abandoned the vehicle at the rotary of Great Hill Road and Holbrook Road. 

Waterbury, Seymour, Oxford, and State police are currently searching for the suspect. Police are identifying him as possibly being 33-year-old Kristian Rivera. Police said Rivera is described as being a white male around 6 feet tall. He was wearing dark pants and a light-colored shirt. Residents are asked not to approach Rivera.
