HARTFORD, Conn. — Two men were shot at a convenience store in Hartford during an early Monday morning robbery, police confirmed.
The shooting happened around 8:19 a.m. at a store on 717 Albany Avenue, near Burton and Vine Streets. When police arrived at the store, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment, Lt. Aaron Boisvert told reporters at the scene.
"At this point, this looks like a robbery," he said. "Three males entered the store; one of them opened fire at two of the employees."
Boisvert said they believe the two victims are employees at the convenience store. He said the two victims are stable, however, their conditions are unknown.
Boisvert described the victims as a man in his 40s and a man in his 50s.
Police are now looking for three suspects who fled from the scene. A description was not provided.
