NORWALK, Conn. — Stew Leonard's is voluntarily recalling its sliced chicken and chicken salads because it may contain undeclared milk.
The products were sold in the deli department between Aug. 2022 and Jan. 29, 2024.
They were sold at seven Stew Leonard's locations: Danbury, Norwalk, and Newington, Conn. East Meadow, Farmingdale, Yonkers, N.Y., and Paramus N.J.
Products included in the recall are:
- Sliced and Shaved Chicken
- Sliced and Shaved Buffalo Chicken
- Chicken Salad
- Chicken Salad Sub Sandwich
- Buffalo Chicken Salad
- Boom Boom Chicken Salad
- Cape Cod Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)
- Lite Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)
People who suffer from allergy or sensitivity to milk run a risk of a serious or life-threatening reaction if consumed.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
If you purchased the product you can bring it back to Stew Leonard's for a full refund.
This is the second recall Stew Leonard's has had to issue this year. In January, the supermarket chain issued a recall of a seasonal cookie after a woman in New York City died after consuming it. The cookie had undisclosed peanuts.
