NORWICH, Conn. — A suspect wanted in connection to a Norwich homicide from earlier this year was arrested at Miami International Airport in an unrelated investigation.
The Norwich Police Department received information on Monday on the suspect, Stancovich Fabre, 19, who had been arrested by the Miami Dade Police Department when he was found in the rental car lounge of the airport.
Fabre has been wanted by Norwich police for murder related to the shooting death of Camaury Clack, 19, on May 10. Police issued an arrest warrant following an investigation into the homicide.
Officers found Clack in the area of Sandy Lane with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Backus Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Fabre is in Miami Dade police custody and is awaiting extradition to Connecticut on the Florida charge of fugitive warrant-out-of-state extradition.
The warrant's charges in Connecticut include murder, possession of a pistol without a permit, criminal use of a firearm, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
