STORRS -- The Huskies are continuing their dominance on the court.
The UConn women's basketball team trounced the ninth-seeded Duquesne Dukes in the second round of the women's NCAA Tournament. The final score was 97-51.
Huskies star Breanna Stewart led the team in scores, earning 21 points for her team. She was closely followed by moriah Jefferson and Morgan Tuck, who each earned 20 points. It was a huge triumph for the trio, who were playing their last game at Gampel Pavilion together.
The Huskies now move on to the Sweet 16, and will play the fifth-seeded Mississippi State on March 26. It will be the team's 23rd consecutive appearance in the Sweet 16, and this marks the Huskies' 71st straight win--the longest streak in DI history.
