HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford Police are investigating after two people were shot and killed in a home on the 100 block of Westminster Street Tuesday evening.
The scene is in the Blue Hills neighborhood. Hartford police are now investigating this incident as a homicide.
Police said the incident happened right before 6 p.m. The victims were identified as 46-year-old Leon Kelly and 47-year-old Charles Kelly. According to police, the victims were brothers.
They were both reported to have multiple gunshot wounds and were transported to Saint Francis Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Police have not yet found any weapons on the scene, and they said they are writing up a search warrant to conduct an investigation inside of the home.
The details of the events that led to the shooting are also unknown, police said. Police believe this is a targeted attack and that there is no danger to the public.
This shooting marks the 6th and 7th homicide of the year in Hartford.
