EAST HARTFORD – The spoils of a conflict that no one seems to want anymore was left behind Saturday.

Journal Inquirer writer Neill Ostrout tweeted the University of Central Florida left the ‘Civil ConFLiCT trophy” on the field after their 24-16 victory over the Huskies on Saturday.

Then someone from UConn tried to figure out what to do with it.

UConn staffer just picked up the trophy, looked around for advice on what to do with it, and placed in on the UConn bench.

Deadspin.com picked up the story about the “rivalry” that no one seems to care about. Even UConn Coach Bob Diaco had declined to answer questions about it earlier in the week.
