State Police say they are investigating a shooting off I-91 in Wethersfield.

Wethersfield police said On 6/15/2020 around 11:00 am.,  two vehicles were traveling southbound on Interstate 91 in the area of Dillion Stadium in Hartford when a road rage incident began.

A blue Nissan Pathfinder and a larger black pickup truck with chrome, or possibly diamond plated toolbox in the bed of the truck. The two vehicles exited I-91 southbound at Exit 26  pulled to the right at the bottom of the exit and the drivers got out of their vehicles.

The victim noticed that the driver of the truck had a black, long gun and he turned around and went back towards his vehicle. The victim then heard gunshots and was struck in the leg. The black pickup truck is thought to have gotten back onto I-91 southbound at a high rate of speed. The victim later received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was described as a white male with a shaved head and mustache that ran down both sides of his mouth to his chin.

Police said they are looking for any video people may have, such as dashcam video that would help identify the truck. It appears to be similar to a Ford F450 or F550, dark colored, with a chrome or diamond plate flatbed.

Anyone that saw the incident or has any information about the black pickup truck or its driver is asked to contact Detective Kevin Foster at 860-721-2865.

Police are also investigating the area near Hartford Hospital at Hudson Street and Park Street.

This is a developing story. CSP Major Crimes detectives are also investigating.
