THOMPSON, Connecticut — A 22-year-old was killed in a dirt bike crash in Thompson on Saturday, according to an official with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
DEEP Environmental Conservation (EnCon) police responded around 4 p.m. Saturday to a collision involving two dirt bikes in Quaddick State Forest in Thompson.
State troopers and a medical crew were also dispatched to Baker Road for the collision, Connecticut State Police said.
22-year-old Steven G. Zografos of Oxford, Mass. was found dead at the scene, a DEEP official said.
A 21-year-old man was taken to the hospital via Life Flight. His condition remains unknown at this time.
A DEEP official said EnCon police are investigating the incident with assistance from state police.
FOX61 reached out to state police for additional details but the agency deferred to EnCon police for any further information.
