Danielson man killed after being struck by a car on Route 6: State police

Route 6 was shut down between Main Street and Maple Street during the investigation, according to state police.

KILLINGLY, Conn — A Danielson man is dead after he was fatally struck by a car Thursday night, according to state police. 

Officials said a Subaru Impreza was driving westbound on Route 6 in Killingly around 8:15 p.m.

When it approached the intersection of Route 6 and Maple Street, officials said 39-year-old William Perry tried to cross the street on the marked crosswalk against the pedestrian traffic signal. 

State police said the driver of the Subaru did not see Perry and hit him with the front end of the car. 

Officials said that Life Star had been called to the crash. Perry was pronounced dead from his injuries.

During the investigation, Route 6 was shut down between Main Street and Maple Street.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who has any information related to the crash is encouraged to call Troop D at 860-779-4900.
