KILLINGLY, Conn. — An officer-involved shooting is under investigation in Killingly on Saturday afternoon,
State Police officials said troopers and a Killingly police officer responded at 1:20 p.m. to an area on the Hartford Turnpike for a suspicious incident.
An officer-involved shooting happened as they tried to speak to a suspect in that area.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
There is no ongoing threat to the public.
