WINDHAM, Conn. — Connecticut State Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to identify a woman who allegedly used a victim’s information to withdraw money from a credit union, as was noted in a Facebook post by state police.
On April 17 at 1:41 p.m., the suspect withdrew $6,000 from Northeast Federal Credit Union at 361 Boston Post Road in Windham using the victim’s information, according to state police. The suspect then went to the credit union’s Manchester branch at 233 Main St. and attempted the same scheme, state police said.

At the Manchester branch, the bank teller caught on to the scheme and recognized that the woman was not who she said she was before calling law enforcement. State police said the female suspect is described as having short curly hair and wearing a blue blouse.
“The suspect utilized the victim’s demographics, presenting a fake Massachusetts driver’s license and the victim’s Social Security number,” state police said in the Facebook post.
Any individual with information pertinent to this case is urged to contact Trooper Melissa Bilgen at Melissa.Bilgen@ct.gov, or by calling Troop K at 860-465-5400. All tips can remain confidential, state police said.
