MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — A New York woman was killed in a crash involving another vehicle on Christmas morning in Middletown, according to police.
The crash happened shortly after 9:00 a.m. involving a Chrysler 300 and Toyota Corolla.
According to officials, the Chrysler and Toyota were driving northbound on Interstate 91 in Middletown when, for an unknown reason, the Toyota collided with Chrysler causing both vehicles to rollover before coming to a stop in the median near exit 20.
The driver of the Chrysler was not injured and refused medical evaluation at the scene. Both the operator and front seat passenger of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The rear-seat passenger of the Toyota, 74-year-old Verona Facey, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
