HARTFORD, Conn. — A Powerball ticket sold in Connecticut won $2 million after the drawing on Wednesday night.
The numbers to march are 3-4-51-53-60 with the Powerball 6.
The winning ticket sold in Connecticut matched all five numbers, but not the Powerball. Since they played with PowerPlay, the prize earned was $2 million.
That was the biggest prize won in Wednesday's drawing. No other tickets sold in the nation matched all five numbers nor reached the jackpot of $255 million.
Four tickets sold in Connecticut matched four numbers, earning $100. Nine tickets matched three numbers and the Powerball, which is also a $100 prize; however, five of those players played with PowerPlay, so the prize tripled to $300.
A total of 6,457 winning Powerball tickets were sold in Connecticut for Wednesday's drawing.
About a month ago, someone else won $2 million in a Powerball drawing.
The next Powerball drawing is on Saturday, Nov. 18 with the jackpot rising to $280 million.
