HARTFORD, Conn. — A Powerball ticket sold in Connecticut won $1 million in Monday night's drawing, according to CT Lottery.
The numbers to match are 19-29-35-36-45 and the Powerball 16.
One ticket matched all five numbers, winning $1 million. Playing with Power Play would have doubled the prize to $2 million. To win the $173 million jackpot, players would have had to match all five numbers and the Powerball.
The winning ticket was sold at the Stop & Shop in Ansonia, according to CT Lottery. The winner has until the end of November to claim their prize.
A total of 4,535 winning Powerball tickets were sold in Connecticut for Monday's drawing.
This $1 million Powerball winner won the biggest prize, as no one else in the nation won $1 million, $2 million, or the jackpot in this drawing, according to the Powerball website.
The next drawing is Wednesday, June 5 and the jackpot rises to an estimated $185 million.
