HARTFORD, Conn. — A Powerball ticket sold in Connecticut won a cool $150,000 prize after Monday's drawing, according to CT Lottery.
The numbers to match are 2-27-31-44-64 and Powerball 18.
The one big winning ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball. Because they played with Powerplay, the typical $50,000 prize was tripled to $150,000.
Six tickets matched just four numbers; five of them played with Powerplay, earning $300, while the sixth one won $100.
Over 3,100 tickets matched just the Powerball, winning between $4-$12.
A total of 4,776 winning tickets were sold in Connecticut for Monday's drawing.
For the historic drawing on Wednesday, Oct. 11, a ticket in California won the $1.76 billion jackpot prize. Over 66,000 tickets sold in Connecticut won at least $4 during that drawing, with one of those Powerball tickets winning $50,000.
The overall odds of winning a prize in a Powerball drawing are 1 in 24.87.
The next drawing is on Wednesday, Oct. 18 and the jackpot rises to $49 million.
