WASHINGTON — Mark your calendars, because Disney has officially announced the release date for "Frozen 3."
The third installment in the popular animated film series is set to release on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2027, according to reports from multiple outlets. That will be Nov. 24, 2027.
While the film and a 2027 release were previously announced by Disney, the confirmed release date puts the film in line with the previous two "Frozen" movies, which also premiered around Thanksgiving.
The release date being near the beginning of Winter is fitting considering the concept: the films focus on a pair of princesses, one of whom has ice magic powers.
The newest updates to the Disney release schedule also added a new Pixar film, called "Hoppers," to the timeline. That film is expected to be released on March 6, 2026. The movie is about a young girl who uses body-swapping technology to trade places with a beaver.
Disney also confirmed the release date for the third Avatar movie. "Avatar: Fire & Ash" is coming to theaters on Dec. 19, 2025.
