Both New Year babies are girls, and one was born in Boise and the other in Meridian at 12:32 a.m. at St. Luke's Hospitals.

BOISE, Idaho — Two of the first Treasure Valley babies born in 2024 arrived at the exact same time in different St. Luke's hospitals

Both girls were born on New Year's at 12:32 a.m. Neveah Lilly was born to Britney Ballou and Josh DeLaune in Boise, and Ella Rose was born to Ashlee and Jamane in Meridian.

St. Luke's said in a news release both families were grateful for the arrival of their children and happy to share them with the world.

Baby Neveah weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce, St Luke's said. Her four siblings welcomed Neveah.

"Baby Nevaeh's mom, Britney, said that both she and dad, Josh cried when first meeting their new baby, though Josh jokingly insisted it was just dust in his eye that made him tear up," St Lukes said.

Baby Ella weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces. An older sister welcomed Ella.

"All three of us are super excited to have her (Ella) here, safe and she is so, so loved.," Ashlee said. "We are very grateful for our doctors and nurses we have that have been amazing and very attentive to all of us."

At each St. Luke's location, they provide the family with the firstborn child of the year gift basket filled with baby items, which were given to both families.

St. Luke said that Nampa Hospital also had a New Year's baby that was born at 4:30 a.m.
