STAMFORD, Conn. — A witness who testified in the Michelle Troconis criminal trial Thursday shared some results from a series of tests conducted on evidence collected in the search for missing New Canaan mom Jennifer Dulos. A parental monitor also testified on the day Fotis Dulos had visitation with his kids a few days before his estranged wife, Jennifer Dulos, went missing.
Evidence seized from Jennifer's home, trash cans along Albany Ave. in Hartford, and a 2001 Toyota Tacoma were sent to the forensics lab for further testing.
A now-retired forensic scientist testified on the tests for blood and other bodily fluids conducted on the evidence. The pieces of evidence she tested were then sent to other departments for further testing, including DNA tests.
Tests done on Jennifer's shirt, bra and a piece of hard plastic detected human blood, she testified.
"So in total, you did in your analysis of this case, three confirmatory blood tests, is that correct?" asked the prosecuting attorney.
"In all of my analysis for the whole case?" the witness asked.
"Confirmatory, yes," the attorney said.
"Yes," the witness confirmed.
The forensic scientist did not say whose blood was found.
The parental supervisor who watched Fotis interact with his children for the last known time before Jennifer went missing also took the stand.
The supervisor kept her eyes and ears on Fotis during the entire visitation, which included going to Grace Farms to play basketball with the kids, and then returning to Jennifer's house to eat dinner and cake outside on the patio, she testified.
The supervisor testified that Fotis and Jennifer were "amicable" and "pretty friendly" when interacting. She testified that she did not see Fotis enter Jennifer's home or garage during the visitation.
Fotis had arrived an hour early to the visitation, being seen outside around Jennifer's home when he was not supposed to be, according to previous testimony from the Dulos kids' nanny. He then left the property and came back with the parental supervisor when it was time for the visitation, according to testimony.
The supervisor was aware that Fotis initially arrived at the home early, she testified.
