NORWALK, Conn. — A man is in the hospital after being stabbed in the parking lot of Norwalk Hospital.
Just before 11am, Saturday morning Norwalk Police received a call of a stabbing. The incident took place at the victim's vehicle at a hospital parking lot off of Rhodonolia Drive. The victim was putting the items of a patient being discharged from the hospital in the car when the incident occurred.
Police say that a man, that the victim did not know rushed him, stabbing him twice. The suspect took off towards Woodbury Avenue while the victim went into the hospital to get treated for his wounds. He is being treated for serious physical injury and is expected to recover. It is unclear to police why the victim was attacked.
Multiple police officers responded to the area to search for the suspect. The suspect is described by police as "a black man in his mid-20's, possible about 5’8”, short hair style, with a black hooded sweatshirt and brownish sweatpants."
