MONTVILLE, Conn. — Red Sox fans across New England should circle Nov. 9 on their calendars.
From 8-9 p.m. that evening, Mohegan Sun will host the “Reverse the Curse: 20 Year Anniversary” question and answer session featuring multiple stars from the 2004 Boston Red Sox team that won the World Series in magical fashion, breaking the franchise’s 86-year championship drought.
Coming to Connecticut are former Red Sox All-Star outfielders Manny Ramirez and Johnny Damon. They will be joined by former Boston pitchers Keith Foulke, Mike Timlin and Alan Embree. All five players were instrumental in delivering the city the 2004 World Series championship.
The event will be held in Mohegan Sun’s novelle, a refined lounge that the casino says creates an elegant atmosphere perfect for dining, socializing and exceptional entertainment.
Guests will be able to hear the world champions speak on the unforgettable 2004 postseason run, during which the Red Sox defeated the Yankees in the American League Championship Series, becoming the first team in Major League Baseball history to erase a 3-0 playoff series deficit.
