Castle is the sixth UConn player to win a BIG EAST Freshman of the Year honor, with the last being Rudy Gay from the 2004-05 season. He averaged 11.2 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 26.9 per game.
He also has an average of shooting 47.4%, with 25 steals and 13 blocks.
