TORRINGTON, Conn. — A motorcyclist is recovering from their injuries after they collided with a car Sunday night, state police said.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. on Torringfor Street (Route 183) and Hayden Hill Road.
According to state police, a 1997 Harley Davidson FLHRI with a single rider was traveling south on Route 183. At the same time, a 2003 LExus RX300 with two people inside was driving north.
At the intersection of Route 183 and Hayden Hill Road, the Lexus was about to make a left turn onto Hayden Hill Road when the Harley-Davidson collided with it.
State police said that due to the extent of injuries to the motorcycle rider, they were flown by Life Star to Hartford Hospital. Officials said the driver is reportedly in stable condition. Police did not report injuries to the people inside the Lexus.
Officials closed the section of the road for about four hours while investigators reconstructed the crash.
