NEW LONDON, Conn. — A school bus in New London has crashed into a utility pole Tuesday afternoon.
According to the New London Police Chief's Twitter, the bus crashed on Lower Boulevard between Crocker and Lester Street.
Police say there were seven children and two adults on board at the time of the crash. No one was injured.
Firefighters noticed the bus made possible contact with wires and had the people on the bus stay inside.
Police are asking people to avoid the area while emergency personnel attends to the scene.
A spokesperson for Eversource says they have a crew on the scene and there are no reported outages in the area.
