DANBURY, Conn. — A four-vehicle crash that ended in flames shut down a part of Interstate 84 West in Danbury on Tuesday morning.
The Danbury Fire Department was to the scene near Exit 8 at around 8:15 a.m. Arriving responders found a commercial utility truck engulfed in flames. The truck was pulling tractors on a transport bed. The fire was quickly brought under control.
Four people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, firefighters said. Four vehicles were also involved in the crash.
The highway was closed for about an hour and has since reopened.
Connecticut State Police also responded to the scene and are now investigating the crash.
