WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — With the holiday season only days away, Bradley International Airport outline the procedures it will be taking to protect travelers during this time.
On Tuesday, airport officials held a press conference encouraging those traveling this holiday season to come to the airport prepared.
“While holiday travel is not anticipated to reach the levels of prior years, we have strong safety precautions in place to ensure the continued wellbeing of our passengers and the airport community,” said Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., Executive Director of the CAA. “Certainly, traveling through Bradley International Airport this holiday season will not be the same this year. We ask passengers to plan ahead as much as possible and prepare themselves for what will be a different type of journey.”
Moving forward passengers at Bradley can expect:
- a face-covering mandate
- Enhanced cleaning and safety measures like plexiglass shield barriers and social distancing.
- On-site COVID-19 testing
- Parking operations adjustments
- Dining and shopping amenities
Bradley also added a few tips for possible passengers like using a mobile boarding pass or consider traveling with carry-on luggage only.
